I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). I obtained my PhD in clinical psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. My PhD thesis involved studying music neuroscience and a sensitive period in childhood for musical training. During my PhD, I trained at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, McGill’s Student Mental Health Clinic, and then East Metro Youth Services in Scarborough, including a brief internship at their What’s Up Walk In Clinic.
While living in Toronto wrapping up my PhD, I began working at Springboard Clinic and went on to spend the majority of my professional career there working with all ages, couples and parents conducting assessments, therapy, and designing services.
My therapeutic approach incorporates elements of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), short-term psychodynamic therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I provide psychoeducation during client sessions as needed regarding individual mental health diagnoses (OCD, Anxiety, Depression, etc.) or neurodevelopment diagnoses (ADHD, ASD, LDs, etc.) and I adapt evidence-based approaches to be accessible for my clientele.
